SS Standartenfuhrer tabs??

Guys,

I have yet to delve into the world of SS and as such have only just begun to study this field.

I saw these today at a show. Could only quickly snap these pictures. Dealer was upfront and stated that he was not sure of authenticity but happy if I checked them out for him. They were priced at $125

Do these stand a chance (with these poor pictures)?

All the threads were bullion. And what appears to be the remains of glue for a tag on the back.

Good luck. With SS things there is a seldom a short-cut, a bargain or a "gee whiz!" It is more often an "aw sh!t....!" Trust me, I know.

And that is why I have stayed away with SS things so far...but I do love that one visor you have...............

Thank you. It is not much help, really. I think these were on fake black uniforms in the 1960s, i.e. Breuer and such.

I do not collect loose insignia, and I do not have a good example of a real piece to offer you.

I owned a black uniform for a Standartenfuehrer, but it had the latter badges. It went back to its original owner.
