Hi, im not an expert either, but it seems that the cap has something missing, you can easily notice on the right photo, i do believe its the ss skull( totenkopf).

should the cap not have a metal eagle,think that eagle is from the sleeve not cap cheers ian
He said it's a visor cap with a rare cloth eagle instead of the regular metal eagle..

i find that very hard to believe , but im no exspert ,and that realy does look like a sleeve eagle to me , cheers ian

The cap alone would command in excess of $5k
This lovely NCO's cap is for sale, a tad under £4500 (not mine)
An officers one is more
I believe there are period pics of caps being worn with sewn on eagle.
I believe there are pics of Sepp Deitrich wearing a crusher with a cloth eagle sewn on it.
I'm not saying this is his cap, but they were worn with cloth eagles sewn onto them.
here is a pic i found on the net years ago.
