SS TK mid war collartabs

Article about: No such item is at my finger tips. I am vaguely aware of the presence of a handful in leading collections in No. America. That is, the names you see cited in the English language reference w

Here an image of a leading collection, which, I believe has been spread to the seven winds (i.e. sold off, broken up)...notice the RZM Proben pieces with the plombierte Siegel and item numbers. You don't find this sort of thing at the local gun or pawn shop any longer.

What I want to know is this: when was the 2d pattern of this TK insignia issued into wear? 1937? And when did the wear of the Hundertschaft numerals cease? As a security measure with the start of the war? When these units got re-organized as part of the all out militarization of same and the formation of the Totenkopfdivision?

This is not really my thing, as I know there is a hard core of collectors of such regalia.

Thanks to our Estonian friend for his images from his treasure chest.

Very nice collection of the SS-TK tabs, I think it's impossible to find all of them...
I've tryed to by one alu "9" from Russia, my offer was 3000$ ( 1 y.ago) but the guy sold it for 9000$..... The vertical officers tab without numbers are still posible to find in around of 2800-3800 depends of quality, condition and completency... Crazy prices, was never thought that this will so cosmically grow over a 10-15 years....

Thanks for yours. The image I posted is from an old N. American collection which was enormous and, I believe, was recently broken up. The man must have started with these in the 1950s or something similar.

    Best wishes in your collecting.

I ve seen the picture dated 1938 year, the TK officer with numbered tab being worn field tunic, but the date is the date, probably inscription was attache later. IMO they was used numbered tabs till the 1940, but I'am not such an specialist in that questions, let's wait for the proffesional opinion

I wonder what the price is for the 1st pattern SSTV collar insignia, the one with the silly looking Totenkopf? Here you see it with the Hundertschaft # 23. Friend Hritz has a uniform with this badge, which he posted a while ago.

Thanks, I had thought the 2d pattern emerged in 1937, but I have no real idea. There is an image of Ziereis in Mauthausen in 1941 and I also think of Hoess in Auschwitz all with numerals on their TK, The Ziereis one I posted. I shall look for Hoess.

In any case thanks. I also know that my good colleagues all have regalia of this type. It is always a source of high interest.

Such regalia in use in 193X? You tell me. I think it must be 1937-8. In 1938 Himmler issued an order prohibiting leather peaks on caps. This officer has a cap with a leather peak. This image is from an album from an SS Mann in SSTV "Oberbayern."

The SS TV man whose album contained the above image of one of his officers. Compare this image to the collar patch on the black uniform with the Hundertschaft # (that is, post 4 in this thread.)

How much you ask, if you have the similar one. Due of totaly rare item- the owner makes the price for the item, not a market.
