There is a large difference in the embroidery in the fist object and the "Ostland" item. A profound difference.
Some of us have the advantage of a long familiarity with real SS embroidery versus the peering through the glass piece with the digital pictures.

I can only concur with the opinion of my colleagues Doug and FB. Both men have exibited vast experience in the study of these items.

I pale to F-B's experience on SS insignia and am more comfortable among the steel headwear realm of collecting. Will, don't get my tough love wrong here. Again my point is there is just SO MUCH reference material posted and pinned on SS insignia and decals that many of the questions your asking are self explanatory.
The sheer volume of Is It Real threads you post, which many begin like this - a guy was selling fake badges but had this, does it have a chance??? - have me wondering where are you all posting this stuff from, and is it just a matter of your throwing crap on a wall and seeing what will stick?
It just seems so Pawn Stars like (looking for the big score) and counter to productive learning, which you claim you want to do.
That's all, that's my point, I will shut up now.

Howdy FB good ole friend,
I noticed the picture of the Leather trench coat with the early SS1 Collar Tab. Is that another one of your unique pieces? Hadn't seen those exact pics from ya. If so, i must say, WOW! Well... Back to researching SS Textiles. I am examining a set of early SS Oberfuhrer Tabs i may be interested in. Take care FB
