Re: SS Uniform
of course, i would consider this key: to buy from other collectors with both experience and reputation.
perhaps one day a cocktail and some business.

Re: SS Uniform
Thank you sir for posting this, your knowledge of these black things is second to none. I am quite aware of the silly debate on the crazy site as well. Again thank you for showing these dark "foetid woolens"...oh if the day comes I can afford one I will hope you remember me when the time to loose one of those tunics arrives !!

Another incomparable display of yours FB. Again, on behalf of all present, and future viewers of these fine examples, as I am quite sure that they shall be tantalising and teaching us for many years to come, a sincere thank you.

Thank you and my best to you as well. We are united in our interest in foetid woolens. Do keep these images for your own files and the epoch of uncertainty.
These images are included for historical purposes and constitute no endorsement of a political agenda or the aims of national socialism.

By the way, the lower slash pocket on the ding dong website is totally wrong, the textile is off, as you can see from my examples, and the thing is a hunk of junk as you rightly determined.

The material used for the shell appears to have a closer resemblance to that found in caps, yes? One of the members of the other forum- John Pic, who I personally think is quite knowledgable, wrote that it was "correct Trikot" but I would have to disagree. I'm not sure if he was referring to cloth of the period or in fact to textile used in these tunics. Either way, the example is a complete departure from what we observe in comparison to genuine articles.

The Trikotage in the odd tunic in Japan corresponds to none of which I am aware at all. The tailoring is much cheaper than a German uniform, and though the piece has some real insignia, it is a phony baloney thingy, and basta. John Pic knows his tunics very well, indeed.
See Trikotage Panoptikum here from my chamber of horrors of foetid woolens. Without putting to fine a point on it, I have invested some effort in such material, no pun intended.
The OA Rhein uniform is sadly not my property. I search for it in vain. The heartbreak of foetid woolens and the endless need to roll the rock up the hill once more.
to be sure, my goal is knowledge, and not to shatter the dreams of someone in their own search for military antiques.
