Hello everyone,
I was wondering, in January of 1933, what visors did the SS Allgemeine wear? Peak, saddle, etc? Insignia? Hope you can help. Cheers!

Often such caps have a plate shape, with a short crown, and often a leather peak.
The examples I have enclosed show these traits, but the SS Gruppe West cap actually has a fairly tall crown.
The Saris book on the NSDAP makes clear the evolution of this kind of cap which was patterned on the officer's field cap of the old army (what is called by the masses a "crusher....") and as time passed from 1933 to 1934, the decision was taken to take the crush out of the thing and give it a garrison appearance via wires and gauze and bunting, pp.
Such is clearly detailed in the RZM circulars.....
Saris also describes how these caps changed each year in the years 1933 until 1939 or so.....
I think FB has clearly covered the subject and answered your question. There is nothing more that I can add in a general nature.
