SS Visor - your help is needed

Hello

I have seen here in the forum that there is a good discussion culture
in giving your opinions to the shown items. Well this is not in every forum
the case. The visor in question was discussed to "death" in another
well known forum.

Its from the same source where i have got my black SS visor

My observation is that the sweatband is resewn, You can see the stitched along the
whole outside. The eagle is original imo, the scull which was mounted was a M1/52 fake
(easy to spot).

The cap could well be real, but had originally a paper sweat band, which, here, has been replaced by a later, post war one.

You need the paper sweat band in grey, which is not especially easy to find.

The zinc Totenschaedel badge is not so difficult to find, go to Telesmanich. He has them more or less often.

I also like that cap, there's some trace of restoring as said above, the eagle is a late war Assmann, so you'd better add a Assmann skull to that one.

This is a typical late made cap, which are always kind of a wreck, but they are real and quite rare.

It is also true that there are many fakes that more or less appear similar, but your piece has traits that I like and consider a sign of authenticity.

You should send the thing to Ben VK to have it restored.
