Thoughts on this black SS EM/NCO visor cap?

The result of writing books and/or articles, whatever the subject is (especially about TR), always ends into better fakes.
It does not matter if you point out all of the "mistakes" made. The fakers and frauds learn by themselves and above all
by visiting the various forums all over - where actual knowledge is spread - and not to forget they "hear about the mistakes"
at shows or whatever meetings. "Der Feind hört mit!"

How true and well said by our master! Bravo. You set a fine example for us all.

In my opinion: Books should have only text and photos of wearing the items about what is written,
not show the actual items with many detail photographs. But then nobody would buy the book.

But do they now? If collectors would, then they did not need to ask so much questions on forums,
as many of their problems are already solved many years ago. I see it constantly and prefer not to react
anymore (anyway with most of the occasions). It is a bottomless pit!

Well said. We are grateful that you write despite all the problems and I do buy your books with pleasure.

and I re read them with pleasure, too, which is then the highest compliment I can offer.
I write for a living, too, and often the reading of a book can become painful, and the re reading is just impossible.
Wim describes all of this with an energy and gusto that I deeply admire.

I think the cap is ok. Ther RZM markings are fake as well as the sweating leather band that was restored. Kill me. But i believe its ok.

...but the RZM tag is not. No one should mislead our readers here, especially in such a dicey area.

I believe our members steeped in knowledge of these items have already provided ample evidence to suggest otherwise.

Please send me the cap, itself, and I will tell you with certainty.

As Donald Rumsfeld has famously said, we are chasing the wrong rabbit.

The RZM tag is a clever stinker, and Dr. CMH is a very analytical person, whom I trust.

He has a better eye than do I.
