Totenkopf button

Article about: This type in having no marking is fine. It would, of course, have been worn on a grey SS-VT cap. I think I paid £8 for my example? I would dearly like a cap as shown. Cheers, Ade.

    Genuine ?

I've owned 2 TV buttons in the past that I know are 100%
( A friend still has one ! ) Maker and RZM marked.

I've seen several types of fakes out there but this one is odd.
Saw two others exactly the same - One on a cap on this forum, and one
at a show for $150. CDN 3 or 4 years ago.

No markings on the back, but the loop seems ok.
The purchase price was way too cheap though, so it has me wondering if it's legit?

    It is fine.

I have one myself and have owned it for 30 years.

    Cheers, Ade.

    Whew ! $8.00 well spent ! ! !

Notice the double row of teeth on the neusilber version, and pebbling in the sockets and nasal openings.

In the late seventies I bought two well marked versions for $3.00 each.
I've seensome websites now asking $500.00

I picked this one up a few years ago, and because the price was so low,
I'd been thinking it was a repro !

It might well be. I do not fiddle with the badges on said headgear. To me it is of no importance. This cap came from a premier collection and its provenance is all that matters to me.

I repeat: I do not care who made buttons or cap badges. I only care that they things are: a.) real or b.) fake.

These websites have grossly overvalued the maker's code numbers to the detriment of the material itself.
