    Hi. I'm hoping someone can identify the insignia on this holster. The pistol has an interesting provenance and was acquired several years ago from a family friend. This weapon was returned with the personal effects belonging to a Lieutenant, 30th Infantry Divison, killed at Liege, Belgium.

    hi all,
    Tha pistol is a Spanish made Astra 400 9mm by Astra-Unceta y Cia SA.
    Nicknamed the pipewrench due to it's weight (1080gm).
    Used by Germany 1943-1945,total build up to 45' =10,500.Also used by the post war German police.
    Total build 60,000 units.
