Tunic removed sleeve eagle, thoughts?

Hi guys
I have only these images from the seller but wanted to hear your opinions on this bird and check all was ok.
Would you agree its an honest, worn example that has been removed from a tunic? It appears similar to examples shown in Beavers' "Uniforms of the Waffen SS" collection.

Here are the better photos.
I think it really has great character. Some of the thread is still attached to the cloth from its removal and the eagle shows signs of general use.
Ive been looking for this variant with its wider body since obtaining my tropical eagle, but wanted to find a removed example. So overall, I'm very happy with this one.
Any thoughts and opinions appreciated everyone. Hope you like it!

I know what you mean.
I passed on a potential buy late last year as it wasn't quite what I was looking for. Luckily I waited and snapped this up as soon as I saw it. I like the unissued/unworn pieces (I have a few myself) but part of me is always drawn to the tunic removed.

Its interesting to note also that there is evidence of one continual stitch (by hand) all around the eagle, with some holes having thread still attached, but the top edge shows obvious signs of rework. It has been stitched a second time in a different manner, leaving more holes visible next to the originals.

I would suspect that the insignia was torn in this particular area and the owner had to re-stitch the edge to prevent it worsening or coming loose.
Just thought it was a nice observation to share
