Unknown shoulder board insignia

Hello,

I've bought a couple of SS pictures from an Ebay seller from Braunau am Inn, and under it was this photography.
The Unterscharführer in front wears some strange shoulder board insignia, which I don't know.
Another photo shows a field cemetery from the 5th SS-Panzerdivision Wiking.

Can you may help me to identify it?

The picture isn't the clearest but it looks like the boards sport an "A" for reconnaissance.
