Visor and dagger.

Hi all

I have a litle odd history here, this cap is from a guy from work, he's grandmother married a english R.A.F pilot's in 1945 and moved to england, then the pilot diede, and she moved to Denmark again and married a formar Freikorps Dänmark soldier that gave him this lot.

I have found out that the Freikorps soldier was a dane in german ss, and is real and he was married to he's grandmother... If that is not a funy story I dont know what's is funny anymore.

first I thought that the man was full of shit ( sorry ) But He cut tell me the names on the person's and stuff like that, and all match and is true, and this guy is not interestet in stuff like this, but he knows what it's is worth....

then the info of the persons is true but whit fake stuff ??? thought so, what about the rest of the cap is that also a fake??

That cap is a Heer not SS.

The cap is real, but Heer, not SS as already stated.

The dagger, while most of the parts are real, the grip is clearly messed with. Note the repairs and poor crossguard fit.

The British medals are OK.

I'm not buying this, I was asking for a guy ad work, He had this story and the items and it was to fantastic to be true, so wanted to share it whit you guys, and as I can see it was to great a story.. Thanks guys

Hi Thomas, the British Medals are all fairly common.

Left to right:

1939-45 Star, France & Germany Star, Defence medal and the War Medal.
