Also, in a case as this, invest in the Beaver Bando insignia book which has a guide of much extant insignia.
It is far cheaper than spending good money on such a thing.
Also look at the archives at Whamond's site, Collectors Guild in Canada as well as Telesmanich's archives at his German War Booty.
Among these three sources you have a very fine set of items by which to compare and save yourself much sadness and the kind of confusion
as is typical in this case.

08/15 army Schulterstuecke....from Whamond. Of the sew in to the shoulder type, and cut off....
As I am from all sources of sanity.
Viel Sammlerglueck

I think you can already work with this many opinions, for me it would reach. The large collection of SS cloth insignia on German War Booty is quite helpful I and speaks for itself I think. :-)
Good luck, viel Glück

Please understand that when you receive generous feed back from persons in the know, the procedure here is the normative power of facts.
You are not entitled to pick and choose what people write to you as suits your mood.
Moreover, the Telesmanich and Whamond sites, to include the army badges of this kind, give you a very rich compendium of authentic examples.

Happy new year.

Thank you so much. Those shoulder boards are fake.
