An interesting tunic.
Early cut but with a none regulation amount of buttons.
Cheers, Ade.

Hi i believe its a Reichswehr pattern tunic with SS insignia attached for possible walking out tunic etc ?
Thanks for the message
Paul
It is indeed a RW era tunic. Just double check no insignia has ever been removed.

It doesn't appear to have had a Heer chest eagle/ collar insignia removed etc here are some close ups of the tabs and arm eagle.

Strange but interesting early tunic...
Even if it had a chest eagle once, does not alone label it as a post45 creation.
Interesting piece. Now we all wait for the mannequin all dressed up!
I know its not a regulation SS tunic for the purist collectors however i have seen period photos of senior SS officers with 8 buttoned RW tunics, It was fairly common within the WH for Waffenrocks and RW tunics to be utilised/ converted to create a smarter walking out or dress tunic etc.
Thanks for the message i'm afraid that's as dressed up as the mannequin can be as haven't got a cap for it here's my other mannequins though ;-)
