The Sternchen vary quite a bit in real life. The alu ones were the regulation, but other Werkstoffe were used in variety.

I don't believe the thread starter isn't SS , the backing isn't a type used on SS collars and the shape is off . I'd say TeNo Zugführer or something similar .

and, if the "very early" and "faded black" collar tab is original, then it must be from badge cloth, ie. a fine quality woolen.

Posing this question is a bridge too far, as most persons have no idea of what badge cloth is versus some other grade of wool.
