Ade - I like the way the trim braid is secured in the back. What do YOU think of that?

This badge doe not leave me comfortable. I do not care for the black stained buckram or the glue used on the reverse flaps. I would not have it in my collection.

It COULD be that one of the previous owners thought the buckram would look better if it was black, instead of natural. What are the chances of that? I have seen innumerable repros with natural buckram, so the "repro-er" did not need to do this. I have no thoughts on the glue. What do you think of the embroidery?

Here is a couple more SS patches that I got at the same time. what do you think of these? I know the back has been stained black - for what reason only God and the fool that did it knows. I like the back of the round one. do you? Thanks ps: ALL these patches have Silver thread. My computer made them greenish...

The Prinz Eugen tab is a fantasy. You can see the same bullion piping and method of application, as well as the unusual blackened buckram. That is too much of a coincidence for me.

The bullion Cross of Saint Olaf for SS Norwegian men is not of any pattern construction that I recognize as WWII period.

I would return these items to the seller.
