I believe you got Very helpful responses in the first few
replies. I also believe that you have been lead down
the wrong path somewhere along your colecting
journey and picked up a few terms that are not
used by the rest of the collecting community.

Besides posting it in the wrong forum, that badge
is not and has never been known as a
'golden falschirmjager badge'.

Thanks for your kind reply.. I like that so you mean that this badge is made by a fake artist in the 50 or 60s and was maybe switched or something for the original my uncle's father had brought back from the War? or it is just not named the gold badge? what is the correct name then

I never said that the Fallschirmschützenabzeichen der Luftwaffe didn't exist but, they were all manufactured with a silvered wreath and a gold finished eagle. It is just that they were never referred to as being gold.
