a badly damaged field cap...can it be saved ?

My next purchase I am thankful to say did not require much work.

Another M1917 field cap but with grey peak this time and no moth.

Wow that is rough but I guess it shows character ! Inbloody hate moths ! We have then I'n our house all my cloth items are locked away !
