Sold as an Imperial Braunschweig visor on Ebay.
(It is actually a TR Reichsbahn hat with a replaced sweatband).
“Show me the regulation, and I’ll show you the exception.”
Cockades are also in the wrong order; the Reichskokarde should be highest, and the state cockade here is actually for Wurttemberg, not Brunswick.

Nice try:
Went for $818.80 on Ebay

Looks like the leather fittings were baked in an oven:
“Show me the regulation, and I’ll show you the exception.”
Hi
I missed the east Africa one so can't comment but people thought it was a good one to drive the price up......there is one on uk e bay at the moment for buy it now price of £700 something.....
The three above are going to be tough to move on I reckon. The Chaplin was one I watched and it at best a 1920's copy but not an original in a 100 years.....(no pun Intended!).
That all said the copies/fakes are getting good............too good! Thanks heavens for threads like this.
happy xmas all.
Tony
The Schutztruppen and the Seebataillon were both sold by the same seller. I was not a fan of either one.
I echo Tony's concerns regarding the Feldgeistliche visor--at best a 1920's verein, but at worst a Frankenstein (I vote the latter).
Yes, they have really been picking up the pace lately with regard to faking Imperial visors.....
“Show me the regulation, and I’ll show you the exception.”
Probably made to be Generalstab, but in this set-up, would be Apotheker:
“Show me the regulation, and I’ll show you the exception.”
