IMPERIAL GERMAN SEE BATTALION OFFICERS VISOR CAP.
Any items of uniform from the German See Battalions (Marine Infantry) are very hard to obtain, this excellent grey topped cap, the See Battalions had a distinctive grey all their own, generally in excellent condition, two moth nips underneath the upper crown white waffenfarbe to the front of the cap otherwise the major body of the cap is moth free, there are two minor nips on the lower bottom edge. White centre band, short leather peak, which is crazed, standard chinstrap with anchor and Imperial crown side buttons. Grained mid tan leather sweatband, maroon silk lining all complete. The cap has the one single national cockade fitted to the centre band, which is correct for a naval configuration. An excellent and rare cap

not headgear but didn't wanna start another thread . Added another seebatallion tunic to the collection. Officers version this time. All 3 versions are rare as hens teeth, but the officers is especially tough to come by. Now the hunt for officer boards....
