Alcoso 3th pattern Heer dagger with distributers marked blade
Pick this one up a few hours ago, a full rig, distributers marked Alcoso.
Its got a lovely patina, no scabbard dents, a great blade with lots of cross grain with just a little greying towards the needle like tip.
Have to hold it in shade to see it, in sunlight it doesnt even show, i tried to capture it.
The pommel is the typical small base Alcoso type, lovely hand enhanced, and the grip is undamaged!
The Deluxe hangers and portepee are the best ive had since long!!
Total mint condition, nice to see the typical gold wash finish on the drgm marked Assmann hangers almost completely there.
Overal condition is great, but what attracted me first hand was the nice distributers etch on the blade, which can be found occasionally on Alcoso daggers.
Enjoy this lovely piece!
Regards,
Ger

Wow...Nice crossgrain on that blade! Minty hangers and portapee....what's more to say? This one, if issued, certainly never saw heavy usage. A Very fine rig! Nice find.

Very nice Ger. I have noticed that many of these earlier 3rd pattern Alcosos matched with the earlier pommel, often will also have a distributor mark. More so than the mid / late 3rd pattern ACS that have the later pommel
Just another one of those observations .
