Thanks for the reply. The blade is not marked and also not plated. Best, Hal

Its looks ok?, All parts are generic.
Crossguard the Generic type B, although the pommel, and scabbard we found in more in generic type A of Herr Dagger.
    Maybe unmarked Anton Wingen?
I would love to hear other opinions.

Hi Vedran you are right, it is very interesting fact that we almost never see this Generic scabbard on Generic "B" pommel and crossguard. What is also interesting pommel is not Generic "B" but "A". So it is possible that it don´t belong to this dagger, but we frequently see this kind of anomaly (mixed generic A and B) parts, so it is hard to say if this is right or not.

My gut tells me it's okay, but knowledge tells me otherwise.
Impurities in parts of the match, but?
    Yep, hard to tell.

Check out the scabbard carrying bands..the oakleaf and acorns really stand out.....pretty nice for a generic dagger Regards Larry

I like this Heer. In my opinion, this is a Good quality period dagger, despite it's arrangement of parts. The patina and tarnishing give the immediate impression of everything being together from day one and really cannot see anything outwardly amiss on this one to give it a pass. Yes, it would be nice if it had makers marks and such, but it does look to be period nonetheless and of decent quality.

Did you buy this one, Hal? What did it sell for, if you didn't?
