    Here is a very interesting variation by Holler put out very early.. Looks to be WKC fitted all around and finished by Holler. The scabbard even has the single flush mounted rear screw holding the throat. The cross guard is the real treat though.. look at that fierce eagle! This fine example came out of the Ford Crews collection to me at the SOS show here in the USA.. Ford had spotted another Holler worked WKC fitted piece like this and said that he had probably missed many others due to thinking they were the more common WKC marked pieces..     Nice score Kevin, its amazing all the variations you see with early army daggers, its obvious there was a lot of interaction going on between the companies who produced daggers. The body and especially the legs on these early WKC guards always reminds me of the Generic B guard, it's thought WKC made the Generic A, could they have also made the Generic B with similar body and legs, just another thought to add to the puzzle.

    Kevin that crossguard has a terrific head, beautiful handwork through out!
    That flush screw is a Höller treat, so your very Lucky finding this one!
