Eickhorn Solingen Squirrel holding Sword Stamped, WW2?

Looking to find out if this sword is a German WW2 sword, if so I think I got pretty lucky. If its a dud I'll still make a few bucks so no hard feelings. The sword is in pretty awesome condition, I have an SS Police Sword that is a little more obvious, but this one has kind of left us stuck. Thanks Everyone

Awesome guys thanks for the info! Maybe I can find someone who has a knot and is looking for the sword to match. Taking a trip out to our storage unit to get some of our other items out. This place has been such a breath of fresh air. No auctioneers, no fees to anybody, just myself, my collection, and other collectors. Most certainly paying my $25 tonight for a year and working on some For Sale classifieds!
