Well the eagle has been subjected to some extreme heat which makes no real sense, its either a soldering iron which is more likely or a pencil flame torch, im starting to wonder if that silvering is purely solder and could be chipped off, but the ragged edges of the actual eagles wings worry me, its no doubt a good dagger but im thinking it might be better replacing with a better crossguard, especially as all the other components including the cloth cover are all present and in reasonable condition and is being spoilt by one factor but a crucial one

I would leave it myself like JB says £275 but without doubt not worth £400 unless it was some super rare maker
