Interesting dagger Jon....and indeed makes you think its an Original unmessed one.
as i said in my previous post:
"" For what you showed this is not a late war dagger, so there would not be great shortness."

this is a later period dagger you show, where shortness was getting more and more on the foreground, Ronnie's dagger is not a late piece.
But that aside, the dagger you've shown here leaves indeed room for the opinion that Eickhorn occasionally filled gaps with generic parts..
