Rocking the Heer World in 2015..Congrats Danny and a Great thankyou to Gerrit for bringing this rare beauty into sight. I can not think of any other most fitting title of this rare produced Edged type except " Obscure" The Dagger Forum here on the WRF benefits greatly in viewing and studying this rare dagger type. On behalf of Adrian Stevenson and myself..the forum is thankful for collectors of History of those Gents who make this particular forum so great and the overall website of the greatest minds.
This dagger is astounding to view with its hand enhanced fittings and the accompanied Blue hued appearance. Thankyou again Gents. Regards Larry

Very rare dagger. I will not rehash our conversation Ger, but congratulations on the great photography and to Danny on the acquisition of an outstanding early army dagger.
For the trademark collectors out there, they really do not rate any higher than this one.

You'll hunt a Long day to find another such piece! Superb find and certainly deserving of a center place in any collection. Well done!

Gents a little update i have a face and a name to the dagger!
I got an email from the owner of the house that he found more stuff of the former owner of this Grafrath Slant.
I have picked up a box full of 3 reich era books, and 2 photo albums with a lot of Urkundes in it and pics of him as Jungvolk, HJ and Officer.
Lots of pics from him and his unit in Russia, all cold weather pics with snow up to his knees.
Pity that everything is glued into the albums.....these are not my usual quality pics, but a few taking with my cell Phone at night after my arrival back from Germany, but i wanted to share them with you.
    Here a little impression
    Regards,
    Ger
