Hi.
I'm confused about these leather buffer pad, its is he replaced, or orgin? (Black leather?)
The dagger seems relatively untouched and buffer drop leather is quite old.
Thank in advance.

Hi Vedran,
The buffer pad looks fine to me. It's a great heer dagger. I love these early slant gripped pieces, especially when they are in the fine condition yours is. Congretulations on this piece and thanks for showing
Danny
Vedran, Looks very nice and correct. Both of mine from SMF have dark blue buffers too. I guess being a major Luftwaffe supplier and minor Heer producer SMF decided to use blue for ALL of there buffers! Kevin.
Thank you all for your help.
This is my first SMF Army dagger with completed buffer pad, so I was confused with black one.
(I was expecting "red" one like in most of Herr dagger.)

That is a lovely Slant SMF Vedran!
Great complete rig with a gorgeous blade.
Personally i think Slant grips are the best Heer dagger grips.
If you want i can shoot a picture of the buffer pad of my SMF Slant for comparison, just ask.

Ger

Vedran SMF where known for using the blue buffer leather, as pointed out major lufty suppliers and used it on some of their other daggers perfect example for me, love it
