Wooowee, that is a nice ACS. I have been looking for one of these early ones! If you decide to move it or want to trade for some other German militaria or other type of dagger, drop me a line! Kevin.

Heers68, I have a couple of heer daggers I just got, willing to trade if you would like to see them.
Great stuff, it means so much more coming from a vet.

A nice find. I miss the days of buying treasures from veterans. Years ago, many were happy that someone found interest in their "old junk."

LIFE'S LOSERS NEVER LEARN FROM THE ERROR OF THEIR WAYS.
Great gift, with history!

One of the most painfull things I have heard of late was from a Big Red One vet, Mr. Applewhite. I had the pleasure to examine his nice 2nd model Luftwaffe dagger one day at my fathers office. (My father is an Optometrist and sees a lot of vets. Good for someone with a hobby like mine!) We got to talking about other things he brought back. He told me that a while back (20 years ago) that his wife had been bugging him about that darn German helmet that he had been keeping for years. He said he got so tierd of her nagging that one morning he took it out and threw it away with the trash... I have heard more stories like this that I can stand to talk about at once. I am sure we all have.

You are very lucky Killroy.
By the way is the swastika normal to be so misshaped?
I don't know much about daggers but it's my next thing on the list so i would like to know more about them, especially for KM ones.
Looking for the photo albums of Leutnant Emil Freitag, 3. / G.R. 377
Absolutely right and original and unmessed with.
You did real good these early pieces are very much in demand.
I'm happy for you!
Thanks Paul! Always value your opinion. Will be posting a couple more pics of my recent pic-ups.
Jeff
