Little Big Man- I have to say I struggled with that- Whether to leave it as it was or replace the pommel with a Weyersburg pommel- I asked around and the consensus was that it would better to replace the added Eick pommel with an original Weyersburg. After all it is a very early numbered piece- and fortunately it worked out--Who knows where the Eick pommel entered the show- But it was definitely not right!!

So, I picked up Weyersburg "6" this morning after the repair to the tang --Looks pretty Good!

WOW Wiki, that pommel looks great, fits like a glove and the patina even looks like a match! Have to be loving all the hand work on that early pommel too.. Congrats! Kevin.
