Many daggers by this maker are found with the maker mark on the frontside and the eagle certainly is facing the right way. So maybe it's time to reveal the secret Mario. Please let us know what is wrong with this dagger.
Danny
I cant see anything wrong, proper hardware incl. ferrule, as stated Hellers are found with logo's on both sides and with Frozen pommels.
What makes me wonder is de silver wash on the eagle, as on the ferrule where the portepee once was, but it probably has been cleaned.
So please reveal what ive been missing!
Ger
Minty blade with no visible crossgraining? I'm not seeing anything glaring red here either...

Hello everyone well yes its been polished but yes the blade is on wrong way, I myself have never seen one with the makers mark on the eagle side. If so I would think it was reassembled wrong.
Just throwing that out there for conversation.
Mario
Like I said before the trademark of Gebr. Heller is often found on the frontside. It is not reassembled wrong. Here are a few other examples.

Hi Mario,
Heller was a maker that ensembled blades with logo's on both sides, on forum posts on different WW2 forums you can find Heller heer dagger with the logo on the front..the proof that it was factory done is that a lot of hellers cant be disassembled, they have Fixed/frozen pommels.

Ger
