2nd Pattern FS knife

Hi Guys, here is another wartime FS knife from my collection.

It is an unmarked private purchase example.

This one was obtained during the war by my Great Uncle. My Dad used it for a short while after the war when he was in the Boy Scouts. However he stuck it in his hand, so my Grandma banished it to the top of the wardrobe out of his reach!

Thankfully it remained there and I managed to get it down from the wardrobe when I was 16.

Hi Ade,
what a lovely looking knife and in really good condition to.
i bet you are glad it stayed on the wardrobe all those years,
how many do you have in your collection. I tink they are a classic
looking knife i would like a collection of them.

Hi Guys, thanks as always for the kind comments. My Grandma certainly did me a favour by hiding it away. How exactly my Uncle Denis got it we are not sure? He may well have simply have bought it. I have written about him and his service in the RNAS in the Great War on the forum.

Hi Dave, I only have three FS knives in total. All I ever wanted was one of each basic three pattern. I have not shown my Third pattern on the forum as of yet, so stay tuned as they say

I would certainly buy more if they turned up at the right price. Indeed they are a classic!
