Another Rare F/S Dagger

I bought this off the internet from a fellow in Quebec, it came with a very nice complete F & W Canadian Mills 36 and the scabbard I posted in another thread.
When I got the dagger I thought it was somewhat rough and not worth what I paid, however the fellow that runs the F/G website told me it was a very rare type of 3rd pattern F/S, and is rarer that a 2nd Pattern. Even in this condition it turns out to be worth far more than I paid for it.

unusual to see a handground Wilkinson etched blade in a 3rd pattern and your handgrip is cast marked 4 so WW2,she is a bit rough though huh

A Bit rough, however I would say it is good honest use that caused it.

Dean, congrats on a very nice score. A seldom seen knife. I've been looking for one of those for a while now.

It is the etch on that #3 that makes it rare. I know
that #3s with hand ground blades are not common
but I don't know if they are rare.

I've got a couple non-etched examples.
