    This knife was introduced following the Falklands War in 1982. Although a sturdy Knife (you could almost dig your fire Trench with it). it was heavy and as a fighting knife the guard is not wide enough to stop your hand slipping on to the blade The handle was smooth the Chequer pattern was applied by me. It has the broad arrow a number and 82 stamped on the handle.

    It's official title is survival knife, It is made by John Nowill and Sons of Sheffield under contract to the army!..

    Edit, i think there are also commercial copies by different manufacturers.
