    Hi,

just new here, but ive been trying to find information on a Wilkinson Sword Fighting Knife which I have discovered within the last few days in my grand mothers loft. I know it is obviously Post WW2 due to the mention of Queen Elizabeth the II but was wondering if anyone could shed any additional light onto it for me with regards to age or potential value etc

I can't provide a precise date, but certain characteristics give a range. The polished blade, nickel plated chape and grip indicate this is intended as a presentation piece or award. The thick 3 mm crossguard and narrow elastic on the scabbard suggest this likely falls in the 1953 to late 1970's or early 1980's period.
Later production features a wide elastic and a thinner crossguard. The firm closed its
sword and knife works in 2005.
