Unknown Imperial German Buttons

Hi, got these buttons a few years ago with a batch of WW1 Prussian collar rank buttons but don't know what they were for. Closest my research has come up with is livery buttons for various royal households. Any suggestions welcome. Thanks Terry

In the Assmann Catalogue, the crown = Livreeknopfe

LOl I should have done this first - Knopfsammler lists the crown buttons as 'Hof- und Staatsbeamten, Livree / Livery Deutschland / Germany Freiherrenlivree' so it would be a livery button for a Baron's household. The S button is listed as 'Hof- und Staatsbeamten, Livree / Livery
Deutschland / Germany Buchstabenlivree; S' so a button with an S on it. I presume the o button is also livery.

Yes you are right on most of it.
Most button retailers had several standard collections of button's with these crown's and letters in different size's .
And where ment to be cheapper buttons for anyone in need of them and didn't want or could affort theyre own design.
