Der Stahlhelm Photo Reference Thread

Article about: An overlooked organisation. If you have pics of Stahlhelm members wearing soft headgear, please post here. (Public domain pics are fine) Prinz Eitel:

Excellent photos that show aspects of the "Kameradschaft" so often spoken of by these men with their shared experience during WWI...
Interest in Stahlhelm items is growing among older collectors, and prices have risen accordingly the last few years...
I picked up this scarce 1935-dated Der Stahlhelm newspaper a few months ago...Feel free to move as it's not headgear.
    cheers, Glenn

Nice thread, which I had not noticed before in spite of the fact Der Stahlhelm
is one of my favorite organizations. Those that have some of my books will have
seen the chapters about this organization in volume 2 from "Headgear of Hitler's
    Germany
" or my book about gorgets (Ringkragen und Brustschilder im Dritten
    Reich
). The chapter about Der Stahlhelm is one of the biggest chapters.
And above all my articles in the "Military Advisor"-magazine about "The Alte Garde -
    Stahlhelm Honor badges
" and "New York New York - an extreme oddity"
about the organization in the USA.

I have hundreds of photos, for the benefit of this forum I will post only a few.

From volume 2 from the headgear-series, page 229:
Heinrich Klöschen (or Hinrich Löschen as I possibly have taken over his
    name wrongly during a Stahlhelm-meeting in 1988), standard-bearer from
Wilhelmshaven-Rüstringen in the period August 1926 and August 1932
when he went from the Jungstahlhelm into Stahlhelm. In the gorget book
this photo was on page 86.

Heyst: why are you always pushing DRK for a book? He may not have
the time or whatever. Maybe he not even is interested. Did you ask him?

You have no idea how books are being made, that's obvious, but you
think you know. You're the man!
You do not have any idea how much time one has to spend for a sufficient
book, and how much photos one needs. Photos just taken from the Internet,
with a low resolution, are not enough! But you know better apparently!

Much what is shown in this thread is taken from the Internet (except Spandau).
What I did show comes from personal albums from former members, I met many
years ago, and from the former Stahlhelm-Archiv!!

For those interested a Hinrich Löschen from Wilhelmshaven LV Oldenburg-
Ostfriesland was granted the Wehrsportkreuz for 5 years with a quite low
    number: 132.
