The final regiment to complete the 7th Division was the 21st Bavarian Infantry Regiment. They are represented photographically here by the 6th Company in the 1927 manouvers at Sennelager and at the Regiment training held at Grafenwohr.
Hptm Müller : the Company Commander, a ww1 vet with the EK1 and wound badge to show for his war service. He was promoted to Captain 1/1/1923.

Preparation and drumming for the journey towards the Herman Monument
Arrival at the monument, errected in in 1841 at Ostwestfalen-Lippe in the Teutoberg Forest to celebrate the victory of War Chief Hermann against the Romans in 9AD. the sword carries the inscription " German unity is my strength, my strength is Germany's might." This makes it a must on the RW itinery for cultural/education day trips.
