they actually look quite good copies.................if you can't find a real one that is. the insides look like they have been copied from the one FB used to own..............hey ho, another minefield being sown for future generations of collectors.
Good luck to them.
Being sold as a Reichswehr general visor:
“Show me the regulation, and I’ll show you the exception.”
Looks like they are trying to make this a transitional visor:
“Show me the regulation, and I’ll show you the exception.”

Hi
Please note that this is on German E bay at moment and on sale on the WAF. Caveat Emptor.
The cap has a few red flags IMO. Firstly it is dated 1921 but has a diamond celluloid, a feature that did not come into general use till 1927 onwards. The cap chinstrap is of the police style and the insignia is incorrect. I have concerns on the blousing being quite "full" rather than the thinner cotton twill lining often found in the early caps.
Externally the cloth looks more greatcoat than cap material and the cap band is non standard field grey badge cloth. The saddle look also draws comment as it should be more teller shaped this early in the twenties.
Each of these on their own wouldn't normally always be an issue but combined together gives me concern.
Just my opinion, may be wrong as it is a rare cap to find with the brown signals piping.
cheers
Tony
