    The 1935 badge I do not see, but should not be there
    as the steel helmet symbol is being positioned. The cap
    should actually have the NSDAP early eagle form.

    Wim, that is interesting, as the same hat is on page 237 of your book, "Headgear of Hitler's Germany", vol 2:

    Sorry Chris, I made a mistake there apparently (I mean in the book).
    The eagle should have been positioned, as when there is a pin for 1935.
    Just for the days the event took place the badge was allowed to be worn
    there.
    It is practically sure someone pinned on the badge, not knowing about the
    period of time. Before about 1933 there was the steel-helmet, so a badge
    could be from that period; after then the eagle came and so was the badge
    worn.

    Yes, I know, but whatever: the 1935-tinny does not belong to a cap as early as this one
    with just two cockades (not even a steel-helmet badge is included).
    That was my mistake. The tinny only could be worn with a cap with the early political eagle
    (mentioned in post 25).
