There wasnt any need for that comment, many of us live in countries where you cannot own pistols so we don't have any choice than to buy deactivated ones. Its far from junk too, I would happily have one as the centrepiece in my collection.

I'll join you in that roped-off forum. My own Third Reich Luger is a deact and ( horrors ! has mismatching numbers.... ) but it's my Luger and I wouldn't part with it for anything. The engineering, craftsmanship and 'feel' of the weapon, plus the undeniable mystique, IMPO make it a great thing for any collector of militaria.
