sjames, indeed a long barrelled version of the Luger pistol 08, (Lange Pistole 08) commonly referred to as the "Artillery Luger", 9mm calibre, it was commonly issued to Field Artillery units and airmen. The scipted logo on the top front toggle link, is DMW (Deutshe Waffen-und Munitionsfabriken) the maker mark of the manufacturer of this pistol, marked on top of the reciever chamber "1917" the year of manufacture. Is it missing its magazine ? it could be fitted with a wooden stock and a special 32 round magazine, known as a "Trommelmagazin". A very desirable and expensive weapon. Thanks for showing.
    Prost ! Steve.

Thanks for the information. Actually is has a matching numbered magazine and an additional non matching magazine. Alas, no holster rig or other items.

It's missing the extractor. You should have it replaced.

Really nice Artillery Luger even with the missing extractor. The extractors are available but finding one with the last 2 numbers of the serial number is problematic. THE matching magazine magazine is a big plus.
