F in a pentagon is a West German mark on guns that develop less than 5.5 foot pounds of energy,I assume yours is de-activated?

What does the S-42 mean ?.. I've got no idea... :S
Sebastian, S 42 is the manufacturer code for Mauser. It was changed to 42 and then byf towards the end of Luger production. In 1939 the S/42 was changed to 42, and in 1941 to byf. It was am attempt to hide the origin of the Luger production I believe.
