From what I have learned from you Habicht this 1912 model has the long safety sear that was removed?

Ben, the sear is in the original long form.

I am still waiting for my 1915 to arrive, it should not be long now, it has the same sear

1915 dated P08s also had a long sear.

Commonly credited as a 1902 model the serial number is 24650. The fitted case is a modern reproduction.

I have a 1916 DWM; a darn shame about the corrosion; other then that it is in very nice condition and a good shooting gun:

Your 1916 is in what we would call very good shape for a firearm that is almost 100 years old. Is it all matching numbers? The pitting in the area on the side is not uncommon. Great looking Luger!!!
