Article about: Hey Guy's, I picked up a 1916 DWM Luger all matching but there are no regimental marking on it. Does that mean it was not used/issued during WW1? Semper Fi Phil

    I picked up a 1916 DWM Luger all matching but there are no regimental marking on it.
    Does that mean it was not used/issued during WW1?

    A German Army Directive of 1916 ordered that Regimental unit marking of weapons be discontinued. Prior to 1016 many were not marked and after 1916 some were marked.
