Ben, please take a look on Craig Gottlieb's auction site.
There are 4 officer/ round buckles (DRK, Penal, Customs, RAD) and they all bear the same characteristics: unclean markings and crude cut prongs.
A good friend of mine gave me the hint.

I see what you mean Guido, the FFL markings are awful!!!! I will look into this and delve deeper, meantime I will return the buckle, man thanks my friend, again as ever eagle eyed Joe

As already written Ben, a friend called my attention to these doubtful buckles. We collectors have to keep our eyes open as new fakes can appear at any time and everywhere. A good collector network is also important!

Yes mate I agree, I have also put a post on the WAF forum, again officer buckles are not my forte, I normally collect EM buckles but from what has been shown if collectors are aware of this they can at least make their own opinions on them as to whether original or not PS thank your friend also mate

Not many now K, I sold all of them a few years ago when I left the military to pay for my house renovation, I had almost 200 Heer buckle but I am now rebuilding my collection

Guido, at the end of the day mate we all buckle collectors whatever forum you belong to, I would tell the whole collecting world if I could if saved someone their hard earned money! BTW mate just sent you an email
