    Default Aircraft Industry Merit Badge

One of the most misunderstood and misidentified badges. One of the reasons- only came in stickpin form. But unlike most stickpins, this one is actually an honor award. Given out to civilian employees for merit in the Aircraft Industry. Came in two classes/grades- silver and gold.
Third one pictured-bronze- is something I found on dealers site a while back but I suspect it is either gold or most likely silver grade that has been either stripped or cleaned off its finish. In any event, it does not represent another bronze grade that did not exist. I just keep them together as I think they look neatly in a bunch.
    Introduced in 1937.
Sorry, the German name of this one escapes me at the moment but if necessary, hopefully one of the mods can change the title to reflect.

    cheers

    Matt
