    Hello,

My Haustafel der NSDAP Enamel Sign arrived yesterday. It is pretty beat up around the edges but the eagle and wording are still intact except for the very bottom of the sign. It is the 1938 version. The RZM number on the back, M3/50, belongs to the company of C. Robert Dold of Offenburg. There are remnants of the instruction label on the back but not much of one so I did not include a photo of it.

Thanks Trondk. These are very common sign, possibly the most common sign, and can be found in almost any condition. I got this one for a very fair price due to the damage, but I don't think it detracts from it, there isn't damage in the important areas.

A very nice example. I never had one of these in my collection.

Amazing that such things still survive. My German friends, (when pushed on the subject) unanimously declare that all TR paraphenalia was universally dumped by families after the war. Severe penalties were in place if caught in possession and police or military often conducted random house searches. Neighbours denounced neighbours over petty squabbles so the risk they claim was far too great and only a die-hard would ever hoard such contraband.

Given the volume of stuff still available on the market I have to wonder how many hard-core party faithful remained post 1945.

More than the history makers would have us believe I think?

I believe so as well. The winning side can never surpress the mentality of 100% of an occupied population after a war, no matter what actions they take.

Always great to see a "Haustafel" shown.
This subject was dealt with in my book about wall-plaques
with about twelve pages. Some information was told, as
well as enameled and carboard versions shown for outdoor
and indoor positioning. Here some images as shown in
    the book:

    Very interesting is:

In the book one is shown from 1936, having the eagle with the head facing
the other way (and as such shown in the well-known "Organisationsbuch der
    NSDAP
"). The stand for the head changed in 1937.
