5 March 1933 was National Election Day in Germany, which leads me to assume we're looking at a tinnie related to the election rallies held in Ludwigshafen on that day...

Yes, that it is Glenn! The Federal election on the 5th March 1933. Assume that this pin which perhaps does not appear in Tieste, is quite simply NSDAP supporter related.
